Garbage Days
Garbage is picked up on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
There is no garbage collection on holidays. If Tuesday is a holiday, pick up is on Wednesday and Wednesday’s collection will be on Thursday. If Wednesday is a holiday, Wednesday’s collection will be picked up on Thursday.
Dos and Don'ts
Do
Please have garbage out by 4 a.m.
Garbage does not need to be in a can to be picked up, although we do recommend using cans to keep animals and birds out of the garbage.
Don't
Items too large to put in the truck and bags weighing more than 30 pounds will not be picked up.
Cans that are cracked or broken make it very difficult to remove garbage from them. Our garbage crew will tag garbage cans that are no longer acceptable. They will not pick up garbage from cans that have been tagged.
Please do not place electronics (televisions, computer components) for curbside pickup. Electronics recycling is available at the transfer station on the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (refer to the Electronics Recycling page for additional information).
Do not throw oil or paint in the garbage. This not only creates a huge mess, but is an environmental concern. There are several free Hazardous Waste Collection dates where oil and other hazardous materials can be disposed of safely and properly.
